And the winner is...

It is the humble opinion of the author that the Germans are superior brewers!  Although Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser Budvar are both superb brews that best many of their competitors, they were both founded by German immigrants!  Take the name Pilsner Urquell (Er-kwell) for example, it is the German translation of the Czech "Pilzensky Prazdroj"! The beginnings of the brewery are even more nefarious, originated in the mid 18th century as a collection of smaller unknown brewers whose individual products were so bad that the town of Pilzen had a riot over poor quality!  They literally dumped barrels upon barrels of the substandard suds all over the main square!  After the outburst of 1840, the town called in reinforcements; and who ya gonna call...the Germans!

A similar history befalls the Budweiser Budvar brewery, founded by a German in the late 1700's!  To my many good friends reading this, you already know that I am a staunch supporter of the Miller Brewing Company and their products.  If given the choice would never pick a North American Budwiser over a Milwaukee made Miller.  As a good friend put it "Dude, you live in Milwaukee!"*  Yet I have to confess something, I had a Budweiser and it was gooood!  Friends, let this serve as a lesson to all, North American Budwiser is nothing more than rice piss compared to the beer it was named after!  {Technically Budwiser trademarked their beer before Budwiser Budvar, but Budvar started brewing long before N.A. Budwiser. If your skeptical (or just a Bud drinker) check it out at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budweiser_Budvar.}

A special aside to my mother; Yes, I know, if I had spent this much time and energy on my homework I'd be...well I think you know, I'd be exactly where I'm at! ;)  I love you!
